1. Does the theme apply to the entire competition (e.g. wedding tiered cakes)?

    No. The show theme ONLY applies to the Showpiece category.

  3. How much will it cost to attend?

    Please visit the General Admission page for day and weekend pass pricing. Competitors receive full weekend admission with their competition registration. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

  4. Will there be any events for children?

    Yes! Children are encouraged to enter the cake competition. There will be also be hands-on activities during the show that will include a cookie or cupcake and the necessary supplies to decorate them for a small fee of $1. Check the Main Schedule for kid activity hours. We often have a face painter and/or a balloon animal maker. Additionally we offer Junior classes.

  5. I’m coming from out of town, where should I stay?

  6. The Rules seem to indicate that Sculpted Cakes must be 100% cake. Does that mean I can’t use cereal or internal structure?

    Not at all. You may use cereal, internal structure & modeling chocolate, however, if you’re entering the divisional category the majority of your entry must be made from cake. Different rules apply to the Showpiece category.

  8. What is your refund policy?

    If you withdraw from a class or a demonstration on or before January 15th of the current year, your paid tuition less a $25 administration fee will be issued. There will be no refunds for cancellations of any purchases after January 15th . Classes are transferable when possible – please notify us as soon as possible of any changes. Competition entry fees are non-refundable at any time. The Show organizers reserve the right to cancel classes or demonstrations. If a class or demonstration is canceled, you have the option to transfer to another event or receive a full refund. In the event that a scheduled demonstrator is unable to conduct their demonstration, the Show organizers reserve the right to substitute another qualified demonstrator and there will be no refunds of registration fees. All remedies under this refund policy are limited to the language of refund policy.
