Competitor Registration 2023

That Takes the Cake is a judged cake and sugar art competition that is open to all ages and skill levels.  The competition is divided into the Divisional Competition, Sugar Showpiece Competition and Tasting Competition.  In the Divisional Competition, entries are classified by Division (age/skill level) and Style (type of entry) so that entries are only judged against others of the same style made by competitors with the same skill level.   This year’s Tasting Competition includes the following categories:  Cookies, Candy, Common Ingredient – Pumpkin, Holiday Breakfast Pastries & Holiday Inspired Appetizers .  All competitions are judged by a distinguished panel of qualified judges and competitors receive a judge’s comment sheet reviewing their entries.  Medals, prizes, and cash prizes are awarded to winning entries.  General Admission entry to the Show is included in the registration fees for the competitor.  For competitors under 18, competition registration includes general admission for the competitor and one accompanying adult.
